Dr. Matthew Pearce received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta, his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, his Master of Public Health from Emory University, and his Doctor of Public Health from the University of Hawaii, Manoa. Much of his professional career has been spent teaching and researching eye care in the developing world.

He is a public health optometrist looking for opportunities to collaborate in research, program evaluation, curriculum development, and global clinical care. He is especially interested in the intersection of health systems strengthening and developing world eye care. He has significant clinical, academic, and research experience.
